  12. Amazing is a series of screen savers where you experience a 
  13. variety of incredibly wonderful views in or not in the world.  
  14. It provides not only animations but also sound effects.  A 
  15. major difference between Amazing and other screen savers is that 
  16. Amazing is designed from the point of art - It is a live art! 
  17. In this park, Seasons, You will experience a variety of wonderful
  18. views in different Seasons. Don't forget to setup your own
  19. background sound in its setup screen - a FREE sound package, soundbk.zip, is available
  20. in Mark's home page: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/mark_qian
  21. You can also get it from WINAV, WUGNET, and WINGAM in Compuserver.
  22.  It also inlcudes some COOL utility 
  23. functions such as MessagePad (which allows your visitors leave
  24. you Text, Voice, Picture, and even Movie), Task Scheduler
  25. (which allows you launch executable files at the time you specify),
  26. and a cuckoo clock which sing at each hour.

  44. A COOL shareware, Savervisor is included. Savervisor is a Screen
  45. Saver and Wall Paper Manager. It provides a lot of VERY COOL 
  46. functions:

  48.   - It appears as an icon that allows you launch a screen saver
  49.     instantly by a single click of RIGHT mouse button.
  50.  
  51.  - It can be run in a INVISIBLE mode. With this great feature,
  52.     you can just put it into Windows Startup group in Program 
  53.     Manager and forget it: It will take care all the management 
  54.     tasks while you never realize it is working for you!

  56.   - It allows you specify the sensitive areas where you can click
  57.     the RIGHT mouse button to launch a saver instantly.

  59.   - It provide saver (and wallpaper) scheduling capability.  That is, 
  60.     it allows you specify what saver(wallpaper) to be activate at a 
  61.     specified hour through a week.  It also allows you switch savers 
  62.     (wallpaper)through all the savers(BMP files) in your Windows 
  63.     directory and specify switchng period.

  69. them separately. Registration of any of them will NOT cover the

  76. run setup.exe:

  79. A). What will be installed by setup.exe?
  80.  
  81.  The SETUP.EXE will copy five files into your windows directory:
  82.  
  83.  az_sn.scr  -- The main executable file of the saver;
  84.  az_sn.txt  -- Documentation file;
  85.  az_sn_0.wav - az_sn_1.wav -- WAV files for sound effects;
  86.  
  87.  If Savervisor is included, the setup.exe will also
  88.  copy
  89.    
  90.    saver.exe  -- Executable file for Savervisor;
  91.    saver.txt  -- Documentation file for Savervisor;
  92.  in to the directory that you specify and copy
  93.  
  94.    utility1.dll -- Utility file for Savervisor;
  95.  in to directory c:\windows\system.

  97.   SETUP.EXE WILL NOT MAKE ANY OTHER CHANGE TO YOUR COMPUTER.

  99. B). Environment requirement: 
  100.  - Super VGA
  101.  - At least 256 colors for display;
  102.  - VBRUN300.DLL;
  103.  - A sound card is recommended;

  107. C). How to install?
  108.  
  109.  "Step By Step" instructions for installation:
  110.  
  111.     1). VBRUN300.DLL(if you don't have one in your system);
  112.       
  113.       You can download VBRUN300.dll from following place:
  114.  
  115.         In compuserve, GO WINAV and search its library for
  116.         file named vbrun3.zip
  117.  
  118.         In WWW, http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/mark_qian

  120.         In America Online, Go to software library and search for
  121.         file named vbrun300.exe.
  122.  
  123.         After downloading and unziping it, you need to move it
  124.         into Windows system directry, c:\windows\system.
  125.  
  126.   2). Copy az_sn.zip(or amaze1.zip) into a temporary directory, say c:\tmp;
  127.   3). Unzip az_sn.zip(or amaze1.zip) within c:\tmp using pkunzip.exe;
  128.   4). Run c:\tmp\setup.exe from File Manager(double click at the
  129. icon of
  130.       c:\tmp\setup.exe);
  131.   5). If this package includes a utility, Savervisor, you will be
  132. asked to
  133.       key in the directory where Savervisor will be installed.
  134. You need to
  135.       either key in you own directory or use the default one. If
  136. the 
  137.       package does not include Savervisor, you will not see the
  138. dialog.
  139.   6). The setup program will then ask you choose from one of
  140. following
  141.          a). Run the saver now;
  142.          b). Setup the saver now;
  143.          c). Exit to Windows now;
  144.        You need to choose one of them.
  145.     Note: if you choose (click at) the first choice, "Run the
  146. saver now",
  147.           please don't move or click your mouse after click at
  148. the choice.
  149.           Otherwise, you will disable the saver right after you
  150. enable it.

  152.   If you like setup or test the saver that you have installed,
  153. please open
  154.   the Desktop of Windows Control Panel, select the saver from
  155. Screen Saver
  156.   section, and test or setup the saver.

  158. D). TroubleShooting:
  159.    
  160.     Q:  I have downloaded your screen saver recently 
  161.         and I was having a problem with getting it to work
  162. properly.  
  163.         After initializing I get a message "... caused a general 
  164.         protection fault in module VGA.DRV at 0001:0ca2". 
  165.   
  166.     A:  Changed your screen driver in winsetup to SVGA.
  167.

  169. E). How to get more information?

  172. This program is a shareware.  You are welcome to distribute this package
  173. (az_sn.zip or amaze1.zip) by any means: copy it to your friends, upload it to your
  174. favorite BBSs or On-line systems.  
  175. However, it is NOT a freeware. You will be able to use(evaluate) it up to 30 
  176. times or 30 days. You then have to register(pay fee to its author) if you still 
  177. want to use it after that. Registration information is available in 
  178. the setup screen of this program.
